Extend your trial for Dynamics 365 Suits (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing , Office 365 etc....)

sometimes we create a trial subscription for demo purpose and the given free trial time is not sufficient , we need extra time.... so need to extend... here is how you can do. but take note "YOU CAN DO (REQUEST) ONLY ONCE TO EXTEND"

In the admin center, go to the Billing > Products & services page.

          (here "Extend Trial" option is not available, cause i already have extended once)
On the Products & services page, find the trial subscription that you want to extend. In the Settings & Actions section, select Extend trial.

Review the extension information, and if necessary, change your payment method. When you're finished, select Extend trial.

Session time out and Idle/Inactivity time out in Dynamcis 365 CE

in new version of Dynamics 365 this is possible to set up session time out and idle timeout ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/user-session-management )


on online version you can configure Settings > Administration > System Settings > General tab.

Default values for Session time out are:
•Maximum Session Length: 1440 minutes
•Minimum Session Length: 60 minutes
•How long before session expires before showing timeout warning: 20 minutes


Default values for Inactivity time out are:
•Minimum Duration of Inactivity: 5 minutes
•Maximum Duration of Inactivity: less than Maximum Session length or 1440 minutes


Inactivity session timeout is not enforced in the following:
1.Dynamics 365 for Outlook
2.Dynamics 365 for phones and Dynamics 365 for tablets
3.Unified Service Desk client using WPF browser (Internet Explorer is supported)
4.Live Assist (Chat)

How to Install Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing ?

1. first login to Dynamics 365 Administration Center with admin account.
2. you must be a system admin in Dynamics 365 CE else you will get error as described in my other post ( https://ms-crm-2011-beta.blogspot.com/2019/07/we-couldnt-load-your-user-information.html )
3. Once you logged in , click "APPLICATION" Tab as below
4. you will be installing Dynamics 365 Marketing Application, this will be visible if you have this license.
5. Status of this will be NotConfigured.
6. Then Click Manage as highlighted.

7. here you select the Org and Web Hosting (either your own or Dynamics Portal). this will be used to run your marketing pages and event websites. later you can change as well.

8. once click Continue you will get below Consent and agree agreement screen. need to provide your street address as well which will be used in all marketing emails.

9. Click Setup and then go for a coffee... this will take some  more time, thigh this states it will take around 20 mnts, have patience and wait.. do not feel its hanged or anything, still wait.....

how you know this is completed? go to admin portal -> APPLICATION, the Dynamics Marketing Application status should be "Configured" and the orgname will be amended with Dynamics 365 Marketing Application, then you will see all solution installed in Dynamics 365 CE instance.

the same way you can do it for another instance (ex: Sandbox and Prod). you will see another APPLICATION in list as Dynamics 365 Marketing Application (with out any orgname) and also the status should be "NotConfigured".

1. Log in to Microsoft Dynamics as an admin-level user.
2. open customization

We couldn't load your user information from the selected Dynamics 365 organization. Please try again. Dynamics 365 Marketing Application Installation

I got "We couldn't load your user information from the selected Dynamics 365 organization. Please try again." message while setting up Dynamics 365 Marketing Application online.
what this says is you are not Dynamics 365 user.
so you must assign a Dynamics 365 CE license and add this to that Dynamics 365 instance and then you should be able to proceed.

this is a known Issue (Prerequisite) as per MS article.... (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/purchase-setup )
